Philosophy Prize Scholarships

For September 2023 entry, the Department of Philosophy is offering five prize scholarships available to students enrolled on MA Philosophy, MA Analytic Theology, MA Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence, MA Political and Legal Philosophy, or MA Applied Ethics and Governance of Data Privacy.

  • Funding: £1,000 maintenance contribution
  • Academic year: 2023/24
  • Open to: International (including EU) and UK (home) students
  • Qualification level: Postgraduate taught
  • Number available: Five

Eligibility

Open to International (including EU) and UK (home) students.

Open to students in the Department of Philosophy.

To be considered for the award, you must be holding an offer of a place on one of MA Philosophy, MA Analytic Theology, MA Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence, or MA Political and Legal Philosophy by 16 June 2023.

How to apply

Application deadline: Friday 16 June 2023, 11.59pm BST

Students are not required to apply for the bursary separately, as they will automatically be considered for it based on their MA application.

How we allocate

The bursary will be awarded based on academic merit, as determined by their MA application.

The successful candidate will be notified by 3 July 2023. The awarding of the bursary will be subject to candidates meeting any outstanding conditions of their offer of a place on the MA programme and registration on that programme.
