C and JB Morrell Trust Bursaries

Thanks to the C & JB Morrell Trust, we have two bursaries available to students on the MA in Political and Legal Philosophy. These bursaries are for £3000 as a contribution towards living costs, paid in three instalments of £1000 across the year.

Eligibility

Open to International (including EU) and UK (home) students.

Open to students in the Department of Philosophy.

Open to students who hold an offer of a place on the MA in Political and Legal Philosophy.

How to apply

Application deadline: Friday 7 July 2023, 11.59am BST

All offer holders for a place on the MA in Political and Legal philosophy will be emailed details of how to apply for the bursary. If you believe you are eligible and have not received details of how to apply, please email philosophy-postgrad@york.ac.uk.

How we allocate

C and JB Morrell Bursaries will be awarded on the basis of applicants’ academic merit and potential, the quality of their applications, and the material difference that might be made by being successful.

The successful candidates will be notified by 19 July 2023.

Terms and conditions

The awarding of the bursaries will be subject to candidates meeting any outstanding conditions of their offer of a place on the MA in Political and Legal Philosophy, and registration on the course.
