A general Graduate Careers event takes place on 27 October, while a second fair focused on Science and Technology is on 3 November. Both fairs are designed to give employers an opportunity to meet University of York students, and the events have attracted a range of high profile names.

Organisations including IBM, ASDA and Bank of America will attend the fairs, along with along with the big four accountancy companies – PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, Ernst & Young and KPMG – and a range of international law firms.

“We have been very pleased with the numbers of employer organisations actively looking to recruit University of York students” said Andrew Ferguson of the University’s Careers Service.

“The recession has undoubtedly had an impact on previous patterns of graduate recruitment, but many large employers are still keen to work with University of York students. A commitment to graduate recruitment is a sign that employers are looking to the long term future of their organisations.”

The Careers Fairs will be held in the Physics and Electronics Building on 27 October and 3 November between 11.00 am and 3.00 pm.
