Lecture examines the Taiwan experience

His Excellency Louis Wen-hua Tzen, Representative of the Taipei Representative Office in the UK, will talk about the fundamental challenges of national development in Asia to an invited audience at the University of York on 22 February.

Focusing on Taiwan, HE Tzen will address critical policy issues, including national independence and economic development, and outline the challenges which lie ahead.

The talk follows a visit to the University by HE Tzen in October 1998, during which His Excellency met the Vice-Chancellor and the heads of departments of Educational Studies and Social Policy, and students from Taiwan who are currently studying at the University.
