The Department of Chemistry is very keen to keep in touch with its former students (and to re-establish links with those with whom it has lost contact). You'll be pleased to know that the Department goes from strength to strength, as indeed does the University of York as a whole. We are proud of what we have achieved since we opened in 1965. (How many of you remember Prince Philip having Electron Spin Resonance explained to him by Bruce Gilbert?).

From the day that you graduate, you are a part of an exclusive community of over 130,000 alumni in more than 180 countries.

York for Life offers a range of support and other ways to keep in touch, including:

  • Networking opportunities and other events
  • Dedicated international groups across the globe
  • Exclusive services, discounts and offers
  • Regular news and updates via our alumni newsletter
