McCamley Lecture Series

The McCamley lecture is given annually in memory of Andrew McCamley, who completed his PhD in York under the supervision of Professor Robin Perutz, graduating in 1989.

Andrew showed great promise as a lecturer at the University of Warwick and was well known for his enthusiasm for chemistry. The lecture series was set up in 1997, a year after he died in an accident, to commemorate him and to inspire both current and future postgraduate students. The lecture is hosted and organised by postgraduate students and given by an early career academic with research interests in inorganic chemistry.
