Programme now finalised for early career research and training day

The programme is now available for the Early Career Africanist Research Training day.

This Africanist Research and Training Day will provide training and discussion of African fieldwork oriented risk assessment, the complexities of ethical fieldwork in Africa, funding research in Africa, publishing Africanist research, sharing expertise, what other Africanists in Yorkshire are researching, and how to build research partnerships, all of which are key prerequisites for successful research, especially in Africa. This research day will provide a platform which encourages collaboration, research partnerships, and skills-sharing. The workshop will include a keynote address by Prof. Patricia Daley (Professor of Human Geography, University of Oxford). There will also be a session on ‘how to get published’, delivered by Jason Mosley (Managing Editor, Journal of Eastern African Studies).
