TAROS (Towards Autonomous Robotic Systems) is the longest running UK-hosted international conference on robotics and autonomous systems, aimed at the presentation and discussion of the latest results and methods in autonomous robotics research and applications.

The Albert (Autonomous Robotics Systems for Laboratory Experiments) CDT, with support from the RoboStar centre and the Organic Chemistry group at the University of York, is organising a special session of TAROS 2024. It will take place at Brunel University, on the 23rd of August.

We are welcoming expressions of interest from PhD students working in areas relevant for the Albert mission to give a presentation and, optionally, bring a poster.

Applications can be for

  • 3-minute lightning talks from students in the early stages of their degree to present their plans
  • 10-minute talks from students with (preliminary) results to present

Applications should be sent to albert-cdt@york.ac.uk, by the 30th of April, 2024, including the following information:

  • Name and affiliation of the speaker
  • Name of the supervisor(s)
  • Proposed title and abstract for the talk
  • Whether it is a lightning talk
  • Whether a poster will also be brought

Notification of results of applications will be available by early May.
