There is a long tradition of high quality teaching and research about
theatre, film and television at the University of York, but the
Department of Theatre, Film and Television is one of the university’s
newer ventures, part of a major expansion, drawing on significant
investment.
The department moved into a superb £30m building in September 2010. The facilities and equipment in this extensive media complex are
central to our teaching, but also have a significant commercial
dimension and are available for hire by industry professionals:
