Social enterprises tackling grand challenges

This Special Issue seeks to go beyond the studies on social mission driven organisations, such as social enterprises to expand our understanding of how social enterprises collaborate to tackle grand challenges. The multi-level conceptualisations, creativity and contexts that define the processes involved in addressing complex social and environmental problems including, but not limited to, COVID-19, food insecurity, poverty, gender inequality, climate change, biodiversity loss, sustainable energy production, and waste management were the focus of the workshop.

In summing up the event, Bob said: "It was fantastic to debate these important issues in the School for Business and Society, and involve our PhD students and academic staff with our international visitors."
