I believe that a procedural irregularity has occurred, or that the assessment was conducted unfairly or improperly.
Exceptional circumstances affected an assessment and there is a good reason why I could not have presented these at the appropriate time or have made the examiners aware of them before a decision on my academic performance was made.
I am a research student or a student on a taught postgraduate programme, the last year I enrolled for was the 2014/15 academic year, and I believe that the supervision I received for my thesis or dissertation was inadequate. I have good reasons why I didn’t tell my department about my dissatisfaction with the supervision I received before I submitted my thesis or dissertation. (Please note that this ground for appeal is only applicable to students who last enrolled in the 2014/15 academic year. Ordinarily students are not permitted to appeal on this basis but should follow the Complaints procedures if they wish to raise a concern regarding supervision).
