An important part of research is making the right connections and knowing who can help you achieve your goals. At York there are a range of networks and services that will help you make the connections you need to be well equipped to take on your research activities.
Research-specific:
- York has appointed Research Champions to help to harness the University’s cross-disciplinary research strengths through seven research themes
- Our Research Staff Associations (RSAs) connect researchers across the University
- Interdisciplinary research networks- your research administrator or research facilitator in your subject area will be able to give you additional advice
- Our Research Staff Liaison Officer provides a link between research staff (postdocs, researchers, fellows) and the central support teams.
- Get to know your department and research centres
- Departmental/subject-specific ethics subcommittees have a remit to facilitate discipline-specific training also the Research Integrity forum provides an opportunity to discuss what constitutes good conduct of research and support researchers in a practical way.
