BAME Students and Staff

Staff and students at York Law School come from a wide range of different backgrounds and countries and we thrive as a result of our diverse community. As a Department, York Law School is committed to ensuring that BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) staff and students from all backgrounds feel welcome and fully included.

The University of York’s Staff Race Equality Forum was relaunched in early 2017. If you wish to get involved, please contact Chair, Dr Rukmal Abeysekera or Deputy Chair, Dr Avtar Matharu or complete this form.

Dr Katy Sian, Department of Sociology, has recently written a new book, Navigating Institutional Racism in British Universities.
