Ruth Awolola Launches New Childrens Poetry Anthology

First year BA English in Education student Ruth Awolola has launched her first co-authored childrens poetry anthology - Rising Stars: New Young Voices in Poetry

We are delighted to congratulate first year English in Education student Ruth Awolola on the publication of her first co-authored poetry anthology for children: Rising Stars: New Young Voices in Poetry

Ruth is one of five young authors under 25 that created the anthology aimed at 10-14 year olds. Ruth contributed eight poems to the anthology which touch on a range of different subjects and themes including; family, race, travelling and space. Ruth and her co-authors will be touring UK primary and secondary schools with the book in 2018.

The book has been reviewed and recommended by organisations such as Books for Keeps and The Bookseller and will be recommended in Booktrust Special School Library Pack.
