We take a social perspective on educational phenomena. We seek to examine critically the sources, nature and impacts of social injustices locally and globally. We are committed to making visible, and giving voice to, underrepresented groups.
Our research focuses on the pursuit of equality, inclusion and access to education for all, particularly addressing social injustices in terms of class, gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, language and culture.
Our work uses multiple theoretical frameworks and methods in a wide range of formal and non-formal educational contexts - including, but not limited to, schools, universities and communities.
