Welcome

We take a social perspective on educational phenomena. We seek to examine critically the sources, nature and impacts of social injustices locally and globally. We are committed to making visible, and giving voice to, underrepresented groups.

Our research focuses on the pursuit of equality, inclusion and access to education for all, particularly addressing social injustices in terms of class, gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, language and culture.

Throughout our work we explore a variety of methods for understanding social justice in education, including creative, participatory and decolonial approaches. Our research takes place with and in sites including, but not limited to, schools, universities and communities, as well as exploring connections between education and other social domains such as work and welfare.
