Biography

My name is Sarah Cunnold and I am the Student Wellbeing Officer for Education and PGCE students.  I am a coach, with over 20 years’ experience working with students.

What is coaching?

Coaching is about change and action.  The starting point is that you already have the answers to your problems and you have taken the decision to use coaching to help you find those answers. 

Coaching can help you to:

  • Better understand your strengths and develop your academic skills
  • Achieve a greater sense of clarity and direction
  • Improve your personal performance and experience a greater sense of wellbeing
  • Get through difficult times and deal with what can sometimes feel like overwhelming challenges

Coaching is a conversation, a two-way process where you have the  time to think, reflect and ultimately act.  Put simply, coaching aims to improve performance and focuses on the ‘here and now’ rather than on the distant past or future.
