Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA)

The Department runs a popular Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTA) programme. Postgraduate students can apply to be part of the scheme once studying at York. Successful candidates are paid to design and deliver seminars. As well as an income source, this is an excellent experience for students thinking about becoming academics or teachers. Successful candidates are typically appointed to start the scheme once they are part way through their programme.  Recruitment to the scheme is usually around June/July.
