The Genesis 1 and 2 building on York Science Park was completed in December 2015. The work has created a new lecture theatre and additional office space for staff and students at the York Plasma Institute.

The extension houses the new EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in the Science and Technology of Fusion Energy, and reunites YPI’s staff, students and post-doctoral researchers under one roof, providing an ideal environment in which to further enhance its international impact.
