The new Library cafe

In 2012 the Library Cafe went through a complete transformation as part of the Library refurbishment project.

Formerly known as Freshers, the Library Cafe is fresh and vibrant and helps promote the University’s vision for creating combined catering, social and learning spaces. The Library Cafe serves coffee along with a selection of light bites in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere.

The Cafe has two entrances, from outside or through the Library depending on the time of day.  The Library is open 24 hours a day all year round, and the Cafe space is still accessible overnight and when the servery is closed.

The flexible layout shown here in the floor plan for library cafe (PDF , 846kb)‌‎ means that different catering provisions can be made available throughout the day depending on the demand.
