The Department of Environment and Geography's spectacular new premises were completed in December 2015, with the help of a University investment of £10 million.
The building houses the Department of Environment and Geography, the Stockholm Environmental Institute York, the York Environmental Sustainability Institute, and BioArCh, a research group covering aspects of Biology, Archaeology and Chemistry.
The location next to Biology, on the site formerly occupied by Wentworth E block, provides new and exciting opportunities for collaborative research between environmental, ecological and social scientists, all within close proximity.
Wentworth E block was demolished April/May 2014.
