York Conferences and Events

York Conferences and Events is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of York. All our profit is fed back into central University funds to support refurbishment, building projects and general University development.

We are a team with over 50 years of experience based at the University of York campus and at The Guildhall.

We appreciate the value and prestige academic conferences bring to the University of York and the need for internal departments to be able to access space. We are keen to work with you to our mutual benefit.

Great discount and rates

All internal customers are automatically entitled to a 20% discount when booking their events through YCE.

Our Day Delegate Rates include:

  • A dedicated onsite coordinator for up to 8 hours
  • Arrival tea, coffee and pastries
  • Mid morning tea and coffee
  • Afternoon tea and coffee
  • delicious and nutritious menu options from award-winning chefs, catering for all special diets
  • use of the main plenary room
  • Available on site AV equipment, (typically a data projector & PC)
  • Wifi access via CityConnect or Eduroam if applicable
  • Standard cleaning and room set up services.

Our venues

We offer a large portfolio of over 200 venues for conferences, events and meetings at the University of York’s Heslington and City Centre campuses, catering for groups of 2 to 1,190 people. These include; lecture theatres, exhibition areas and fully equipped meeting rooms. Our venues include:
