Mir Dosteen Hoth

Mir has worked with the Government of Balochistan since May 2011 as a Fast-Stream Entrant into the Provincial Civil Service. Currently he is on a study break from his professional career to pursue his PhD at the University of York. Mir gained his Master of Public Administration from the University of Karachi, Pakistan and Master of Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), University of Sussex. 

Mir has developed an interest into exploring the developmental practices and challenges to development that restrict growth of prosperous societies; particularly in  Balochistan, Pakistan. Wastage and non-judicious utilisation of public resources has always been an issue with the developing world including Balochistan, Pakistan. Mir's research is focused on the impact of elite capture and clientelism in the context of the developmental budget of the Govt. of Balochistan and its potential impact of the efficient public service delivery to the people.
