Advice and applications

So, you've found a course and decided to apply - here's what you need to do.

You apply to York via UCAS. You'll need to submit your grades (or predicted grades) and a personal statement telling us why you're passionate about your chosen subject. Our institudion code is Y50.

Before you arrive, you'll need to arrange your student finance. You should also see if there are any scholarships you can apply to.

The best advice I would give is to thoroughly research all universities before applying, to make sure it is a right fit for you. If possible visit the universities you’re applying to and take a campus tour to try and get a feel of whether you would fit in there. Don’t leave UCAS to the last minute - make sure you’re well prepared and organised so that it isn’t as stressful.
