Campus
We've got the best of both worlds - a green, parkland campus within walking-distance of one of the UK's most iconic city centres.
Our accessible campus has two main areas: Campus East and Campus West. We also have the historic King's Manor in the centre of York.
We offer outstanding study facilities and welcoming social spaces, so you'll have everything you need to make the most of your university experience.

The campus is bursting with nature and wildlife, home to rabbits, squirrels and wildfowl. I've enjoyed taking walks on campus with friends and feeding the ducks in my free time. The campus environment really makes York feel like its own community and hub of activity. Everything is in one place instead of scattered and spread out across different locations.

Campus West
Campus West is an inspiring environment for you to study and live in. It's the original and largest area of campus, where lots of our departments, colleges and facilities are based.
Modern buildings rub shoulders with characterful 1960s architecture and the 16th-century Heslington Hall. The lake and surrounding parkland are home to a wide variety of wildlife.

Campus East
Campus East is a hub of creative activity, where you'll find our extensive media complex, modern teaching buildings and dedicated areas for collaboration. It's home to a number of departments and colleges, and excellent sporting and community facilities.
It's just a 20-minute walk, 10-minute cycle or e-scooter ride, or a quick and free bus ride away from Campus West.
