Travel to York

York is on the main East Coast main railway line which links London's Kings Cross station with Edinburgh. Tickets should be booked well in advance to avoid high charges on the day, please note tickets purchased in advance are usually valid for the specified train time. Most train companies sell tickets through their own websites, but a convenient site for all tickets is the train line. If coming from the UK we recommend coming by rail as this will avoid finding places to park.

If driving to the University the postcode to use for the satnav is YO10 5DQ.

Drivers are advised to approach the University from the junction of the A64 and A1079 on the east of the city, from there the University is signposted. See the maps below for an overview of our location.
