Biography

Anna Shirin Golinska joined Languages for All in October 2012 as a part-time tutor of Russian.

After completing her BA Degree in Russian Language and Literature, she worked as a Russian teacher at Turkish Secondary School in Turkmenistan for four years and in Russia. Shirin moved to London in 2005 to study her ICM Diploma course, and during her four years of study there, she taught Business Russian to staff of international companies. She has also worked as an legal interpreter and translator (Russian, Turkish, Polish and Turkmen) with both language agencies and clients directly undertaking projects involving translation and interpreting within the Law area. In order to develop her interests in translation, she has been doing a DPSI (Diploma in Public Service and Interpreting) course in Sheffield Academy. While teaching at LFA, she was also involved with teaching and preparing GCSE and A-level Russian and Turkish exams in the North Yorkshire  area and supporting visiting students through Global Opportunities at the University of York. Anna also holds a B.A. in Criminology from the University of York and studies towards her Masters in Law degree.
