Our aims

The Language Teaching Forum aims to organise events throughout the year led by invited speakers to share their expertise, scholarship and teaching approaches in order to enhance professional development and reflective practice in language teaching. The events will reflect on issues arising from our teaching practices as well as from related linguistic and educational research on language teaching.

Our philosophy

The Language Teaching Forum is an open space where teachers and researchers with different backgrounds and expertise can come together in order to develop dialogue and reflective practice. Therefore, it is an opportunity to promote the professional development of language teachers as well as to generate innovation and scholarship in the field of language teaching and learning.

Although currently focusing on languages in higher education, the forum also looks out for debates and developments in language teaching and learning in other educational settings.
