This is a five year programme of work funded via an NIHR Career Development Fellowship. The first phase builds on previous research exploiting widescale data in order to understand the predictors of educational performance in the medical workforce. This will include work exploring how Situational Judgment Test design can be optimised for healthcare workforce selection. The second phase is focussed on developing and validating a Situational Judgement Testing system to be used as a component of the selection process when appointing mental health practitioners.
