Biography

Career

After I completed my degree in 2013, I worked in the third sector in community projects and in alternative (Montessori) and informal education and outdoor programs with integrative programs for children with Autism. Since 2017, after moving to the United Kingdom, I focused on developing my skills in working in mental health and clinical settings and supporting and understanding the needs of people with developmental disorders. During my master’s degree, besides the DCC role with the University, I joined a community program run by a charity in York supporting visually impaired people and/or with learning disabilities or difficulties. After my master, I decided to focus on Research in Developmental Psychology as well as further developing my teaching skills.

Research

Overview

My research project during my MSc degree explored how therapeutic writing is working on improving emotional processing and well-being in women.

Further on I joined the DSN Lab where I supported the York branch of the project Wellcome Leap 1kD.

Projects

Currently, I am part of the Numerical Cognition Lab working on the BounCeS project.
