Career

After I completed my degree in 2013, I worked in the third sector in community projects and in alternative (Montessori) and informal education and outdoor programs with integrative programs for children with Autism. Since 2017, after moving to the United Kingdom, I focused on developing my skills in working in mental health and clinical settings and supporting and understanding the needs of people with developmental disorders. During my master’s degree, besides the DCC role with the University, I joined a community program run by a charity in York supporting visually impaired people and/or with learning disabilities or difficulties. After my master, I decided to focus on Research in Developmental Psychology as well as further developing my teaching skills. Between 2024-2025 I took on an assistant psychologist role for research and service development in Psycho-oncology at NHS South Tees Hospitals.
