I did an MPhys in Theoretical Physics followed by a PhD in biophysics, both at the University of Leeds. Following this I was a postdoc at Queen's University Belfast & Leeds again before moving to the University of York in 2013 to work with Professor Reidun Twarock on mathematical virology. I was appointed as a lecturer (jointly appointed between Maths & Biology) in 2018.
