Research

Overview

The main focus of my research is utilising wavelet techniques to model time series whose characteristics evolve through time (often referred to as locally stationary time series). This work was motivated by various applied problems in the field of circadian biology. In particular, this research: introduced a new method for clustering rhythmic biological data (with a focus on circadian oscillations) and developed novel hypothesis testing procedures in the (wavelet) spectral domain (which were motivated by three complementary applications in circadian biology).

Other research interests include: the application of statistical methods and tools to sport, and teaching and learning pedagogy.

Further details of my publications may be found through my Google Scholar Profile or my ORCID ID.
