Profile

Biography

I joined the Department of Mathematics at the University of York in September 2024 as a Research Associate in Statistics, working with Professor Marina Knight, Principal Investigator of the York node of the program Network Stochastic Processes and Time Series (NeST). My research focuses on the modelling of time series data observed over the nodes and edges of networks.

Before joining York, I completed a PhD in Statistics at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in June 2024, under the supervision of Professor Ying Sun in the Environmental Statistics research group. Prior to that, I obtained a master’s degree in applied mathematics from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Sede Manizales (UNAL). From 2016 to 2020, I also held lecturer positions in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at UNAL and in the Department of Physics and Mathematics at Universidad Autónoma de Manizales.
