About the software

Process and interpret all analytical data in one common interface, including NMR, LC/GC/UV/MS, IR, and more. Gain assistance with routine structure verification and access to spectral databases.

ACDLabs (ChemSketch, Spectrus Processor, 3D Viewer & Import Process Mapper) is installed on all IT Services classroom PCs and is available for all other University and personally owned staff and student PCs - please see the Obtaining the software tab.

Obtaining the software

Classrooms

ACDLabs is installed on all IT Services classroom PCs.

It appears under Start.

Managed office PCs

To install ACDLabs on office PCs managed by IT Services, follow these steps:

  1. From the Start Menu search for and open Software Center
  2. Locate the software under the Available Software tab
  3. Click on the Install button in the lower right

Unmanaged PCs and home use

All staff and students are able to install ACDLabs on unmanaged University owned PCs and personally owned devices. If you are working off campus, you will need to use the VPN.

Installation files:

When the zip file has downloaded, right click on it and select Extract All and then Extract. You should then double-click setup.exe in the extracted folder to start the installation.

When ACDLabs is installing on an unmanaged university or personally owned computer you'll be asked for the License Server settings. The Address to add is acd.lic.york.ac.uk. The default port is 7199
