Vault is the University-managed cold storage system (for files that are accessed extremely infrequently).



Upon initial release, the service will be restricted to specific staff members who have requested access.

Vault provides unlimited cold storage and is appropriate for storing sensitive data.

Your first 500TB is free; after that, we may start charging.

File access can take up to 24 hours and you must explain why it's necessary.

Your responsibilities

Update the owners for a vault as required, eg if a current owner leaves the University. A given vault must have at least three owners at any given time; each owner has access to the full content of the vault and can add and remove files.
