Lu Zhou's transcript

Lu Zhou, MA TESOL

At the very beginning I liked the children very much because they looked very cute. I found sometimes, because they're very young, they're very hard to control. I needed to work out some strategies or something to control them better in the class. So I enjoy such kind of teaching, because I have my own autonomy to decide what I should do and use my creativity, so I enjoy it very much.

It's really changed my expectations about teaching. Like before, I generally taught high school students, and they know what they should do in class, especially in China, they behave very well in the classroom, very quiet. But the children will be very hard to control because they never know what they should do and they don't listen to the teacher, so I don't want to be a primary or a kindergarten teacher.

But now I think it's really interesting and I've started to think that maybe I could try some English schools, primary schools, back in China.
