The role of the 'English-Language Expert': Workshop on English as a medium of instruction in Higher Education

This one-day workshop aims to address the question of the role of English-Language Experts (ELEs) in Higher Education institutions, where EMI has been or is being introduced.

The workshop theme is expected to cover such issues as:

  • How do/should Senior Managers engage with ELEs?
  • What do ELEs need to know?
  • How can ELEs best work with disciplinary academics?
  • Who makes the most suitable ELE?
