Postdoctoral Research Associate

Thamy is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Chemical Biology in Glycoscience working with Prof. Gideon Davies, FMedSci, FRS, at the York Structural Biology Laboratory. She completed her PhD from the University of Viçosa, Brazil. Thamy has experience in biology of filamentous fungi to overexpress biocatalysts with industrial applications in both academia and private companies. Given her interest in biochemistry/mechanistic of metalloenzymes, glycoside hydrolases, and esterases, she is now investigating molecular tools to probe glycoprocessing enzymes related to human health and green chemistry.
