If you think you have some research that would make a good Borthwick publication, then we would love to hear from you. We welcome contributions for the following publication series:

Borthwick papers

Borthwick papers are a series of short monographs dealing with an aspect of history in the north of England.

New papers are released one to two times per year.

  • Papers may be between 12,000 and 50,000 words in length.
  • Papers will be refereed by experts in the subject before acceptance

Borthwick Texts and Studies

We are happy to consider edited edition and collections of essays on a wide range of historical subjects.
