What are student-led learning communities and why are they important?

Student-led learning communities inspire learning inside and outside of the classroom, growing students’ sense of belonging and a feeling that they matter. Relationship-rich environments and individual relationships with peers and staff are catalysts for helping students feel like they matter and belong, and relationships with staff and peers are a significant factor in positive educational outcomes for students, particularly for less represented students.
