Overview
My main research area is in the confinement of hot, magnetised plasma for fusion energy applications.
My research involves numerical simulation (nonlinear gyrokinetic simulation), analytical theory, and experimental data analysis and interpretation. In particular, I am interested in :
- The interaction between energetic particles, Alfvén waves and turbulence in magnetic confinement devices
- Interpretation of microwave scattering diagnostics (synthetic diagnostics, mainly for turbulence measurements)
