Overview

Magnetic confinement fusion plasmas: theory of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) instabilities including neoclassical tearing modes (NTMs) and edge localised modes (ELMs); experimental work on MAST Upgrade spherical tokamak, exploring advanced high-confinement modes (H-modes) free of detrimental large ELMs: "quasi-continuous exhaust" regimes and "quiescent H-modes"
