  • Students take 120 credits: 60 credits in each semester.
  • In S1 students take two x Physics CORE modules and one x Philosophy CORE module.

Year 2 Philosophy option modules

Students on the BSc Physics with Philosophy (with a year abroad) programme will study at their chosen overseas university after successful completion of Year 2.

Year 3

  • Students take 120 credits: 60 credits in each semester.
  • In S1 students take two x Physics CORE modules, and one x Philosophy option module.
  • In S2 students take one x Physics CORE module.
  • In S2 students take one x Physics option module and one x Philosophy option module.
  • Students may weight their final year as follows:
    80 credits of Physics modules and 40 credits of Philosophy modules;
    or
    100 credits of Physics modules and 20 credits of Philosophy modules.

Students on the MPhys Physics with Philosophy (with a year abroad) programme will study at their chosen overseas university after successful completion of Year 2.

Students on the MPhys Physics with Philosophy (with placement year) programme will undertake their placement after successful completion of Year 2.

Rules:

  • Students take 120 credits: 60 credits in each semester.
  • All students must take CORE PHY00080H and CORE PHI00013H in S1.
