Changing Philosophy optional modules

  • You must complete the form below to request an optional module change.
  • Request forms must be submitted before 17:00 hours (UK time) on Friday of week 2 of the Semester that the module is taught in (Semester 2 deadline is Friday 20 February 2026). 
  • Semester 1 module changes cannot be requested (The S1 deadline passed on 3 October 2025).
  • Semester 2 module changes may be requested but will NOT be actioned until the timetable has been released.
  • Requests will be considered in order of receipt. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to action every request due to availability of places on a module.
  • Priority will be given to the processing of correctly completed forms - please ensure you have supplied the correct information.
  • Discuss your module change/s with your Supervisor before completing this form.
  • Check that the new module fits with your existing timetable - it is your responsibility to check for any timetabling clashes before submitting any module changes. If a timetabling clash occurs due to your module change, your module may have to revert back to your original module choice, or you may be asked to change to an alternative module which does not have a timetabling clash.
  • It is your responsibility to check for any modules that have pre-requisites via the Module Catalogue prior to making any module changes.
  • Check that you are not exceeding a total of 60 credits per Semester (120 credits for the year) with the new module.
  • Administrators must check your module change request and only then can your student record be updated.
  • Any changes made to your Optional modules will be confirmed back to you via your UoY email.
