Two researchers from the University of York’s IGEM (International Genetically Engineered Machine) team will lead a talk about the uses of genetically modified organisms (GMOs), the perception of GMOs, and finally what they are working on currently which is a genetically engineered E.Coli that will be able to uptake Cadmium and sulphates giving it the ability to purify polluted waste water.
