Event details

Nationally acclaimed poet John Wedgwood Clarke will be sharing a series of poems inspired by the city of York as part of the York Curiouser project. We will be beginning with a short lecture by Dr Kate Giles, discussing how archaeological and historical research by the University has shed light on the complex and hidden histories of the city. Reading from In Between, John will explain how creative writing can enable York’s citizens and visitors to explore and experience the city in new ways. Discover some incredible poetry, listen to the soundscape created by acoustic modelling expert Dr Damian Murphy, and discover the secrets of York.
