It's often said that The Shambles is York's equivalent to J. K. Rowling's famous magical shopping street. But how might you transform the real life Shambles into the mystical alley of the movies? Using techniques ranging from editing, to green screen, to sound, Ed Braman - lecturer in TV Production at the University of York - will take you on a journey of the imagination where a simple camera can create an entire world. How did they create Diagon Alley for the Harry Potter Films? How might you transform York Shambles into a mystical alley of the movies? Take a journey of the imagination to discover how a simple camera can create an entire world.
