University message about the Centre for Lifelong Learning 

It is with profound sadness that the University announces the closure of the Centre for Lifelong Learning at the University of York. This decision has been an incredibly hard one, made in response to the challenging financial climate currently facing the higher education sector. Read our statement that explains more.

All teaching activity for the current term will continue as planned, including June Saturday Schools.

Summer Long Courses

  • Tuesday 22 April 2025: Existentialism - with Angelos Sofocleous PhD (7-9pm, 8 weeks, £91), Online course.

  • Thursday 24 April 2025: Science at the Edge of Reality - with Ed Willems PhD (2-4pm, 5 weeks, £57), Online course.

Learning via Zoom

  • Students joining our online courses would need access to a computer, laptop or tablet with a microphone (essential) and a webcam (desirable) as well as a reliable broadband connection.
