I first came to York Law School as an undergraduate in 2018. After completing an MA in Social Research at the University of Leeds, I returned to YLS in 2023 to undertake an ESRC-funded PhD at the Administrative Fairness Lab. My project is a socio-legal exploration of debt recovery as a function of Universal Credit, and perceptions of fair process within this.
Alongside my PhD, I have worked as a Research Assistant for a range of projects relating to social care, social security benefits, community-led housing policy, and Artificial Intelligence in public services. My current position revolves around identifying and documenting the "impact" of research at York Law School.
I also sit on the Economics, Law, Management, Politics and Sociology Ethics Committee as a postgraduate research representative.
