Zoe Howard

Lecturer

After qualifying as a solicitor I worked in the City for an American law firm for a number of years as a commercial litigator.  Whilst my practice was general commercial disputes much of my work was professional negligence particularly in the construction industry.

I transitioned into teaching ten years ago and have historically focused on postgraduate studies, especially those seeking to qualify as solicitors.  Prior to joining York University in February 2026 I taught at BPP University on the LPC and subsequently the SQE.  

I am the Assistant Programme Lead for the LLM in Professional Legal Practice (SQE) and the Module Lead for Dispute Resolution.  I am also the Module Lead for the LLM Module in the Practice of Commercial Transactions.

I am passionate about helping those that wish to qualify and further their careers within the law.  I am always happy to discuss the path to qualification with anyone considering it.
